Last night Keaton became a Boy Scout and he also received 6 merit badges: Aviation, Climbing, First Aid, Lifesaving, Personal Fitness and Swimming. His least favorite merit badge was Aviation, going to Lockheed Martin and taking a tour of the planes being built. He did get to see a F22 fighter plane in the works.

For a Young Women's activity, McKenna and the girls filled in a pool for a single sister from church. Actually, McKenna said, "she enjoyed it and didn't even complain." She want's to go back and fill some more. This was Brooke's first night at YW's.

This morning was McKenna's best day every(so far), she got her braces off!! She has been counting down the last 2 weeks and today was the big day. I just found out how to put youtube videos on my blog thanks to Laura Johnson, so about a year and a half ago Nick won me a contest to go see and meet Enrique at q100 in Atlanta. I didn't sleep the whole night before, I was so sick to my stomach because I coulnd't wait to see my all time favorite singer. He was so sweet and oh so hot! He signed a photo and I got a signed guitar, which now sits close by in my room, I see it everyday and think about that awesome day. McKenna got to go with me also.

McKenna just celebrated her 14th Birthday, I swear it was a week long. Nick was going to be gone on her birthday so we went out as a family to Kane Yama Japanese steak house. We ate Habachi style, our chef would toss shrimp into your mouth, Keaton was the best one at this. The staff came and sang real loud and banged on drums, it was a fun time. Then Sunday we got together for dinner with my parents and Shay's family for another birthday celebration for McKenna. On Monday there was no school due to a dusting of snow, so McKenna and Emma (her best friend) went shopping to spend the money and gift cards she was given. Again another dinner at Italian Oven with grandparents, cousins, Aunt Shay and Uncle Jeff with cake and balloons. Is it over yet? (Now my problem is my computer doesn't like any of my USB ports, so no pictures yet)

Woke up this morning to breakfast with Nick and the kids, as we were eating I remembered it was Valentines Day. I wanted to do some cute things for the kids but, I have been recovering from surgery and can't do anything, So Valentines day wasn't what I'd had hoped it would be. Keaton's cub scouts had a pinewood derby last Saturday, his car finally made it to the finish line this year. He actually won first a few times, got 3rd place for best design. Breckin has never eaten dinner that I make, he will only eat mac-n-cheese, rolls or a hotdog at dinner, but tonight as we were all siting down for dinner he decides that he wants to try some chicken. I won't let the kids come down until I have turned on the Christmas tree lights and have the camera ready. Keaton woke us up at 7:30am which wasn't too early. Here comes Breckin and I got one picture taken and my camera decides to act up. Luckily McKenna was there to save the morning with her camera. Breckin got Playmobil everything, Flip in Frog game, which is fun,and a remote control dinasour. Keaton got his NY Yankees sweat shirt, Wii games and the itouch. McKenna, clothes, JoBro book, makeup, dvds and cds. Santa was good to them this year. McKenna wanted to make Nick a coupon book, I tried to take a picture of the directions, there are do's and dont's when using the coupon book. After we open all the gifts we head to my parents house which is just about two blocks away and have breakfast with my two sisters Cynthia and Shay and their families. Shay's family always make waffels, we have egg casserol, biscuits with sausage or country ham. It is some good eatin'.

Christmas Eve Dinner 2008

We had Christmas Eve dinner at my parents house. They just got done remodeling their house so mom wanted dinner to be at her house this year. The kids didn't like it too much, they are used to being at my sister Shay's house with lots to play and do. Dinner was fabulous, spiral sliced ham, garbage bag salad,(sounds gross but is so yummy, homemade rolls by me, always, baked potatoes and yummy desserts. Breckin kept asking if it was time to go home yet, he wanted to get to bed so Santa would come. Cynthia finally brought my nephew Mathew who is handicaped out, it was so good to see him, but he is so little. He has a desease called mitocondrial desease, where his muscles get eaten up. He is almost 21 yrs old and has the sweets spirit.

It's Christmas Eve and time to open gifts from Nick's side of the family. We moved Monique(Nicks sister and kids), Kaya and Aron out from Idaho to live close to us in July. It has been a good thing having them out here. Kaya is a senior and works at the "Pig" and Aron and Keaton go to the same school and are the same age, and get along great. Anyway Grandpa Bill is out here too from California, so we opened up some gifts before we went to my parents house for dinner.

China's Terracotta Army

My parents surprised me with a trip to the High Museum to see The First Emperor China's terracotta army. I wanted that for my birthday, so my mom and I spent the whole day at the museum and then ended it with lunch at VARSITY, yummy! Did you know by the age of 13 Ying Zheng became a king? He was absessed with power and living forever. He had this terracotta army all around him to protect him after he was dead. If you haven't seen this exhibit, you are missing out on something great. Just dont touch, it was hard to not touch them. I asked the workers if they wanted to touch them, NO, how can you work at a museum and not TOUCH stuff?

Breckin's 6th Birthday December 13th

Breckin's 6th Birthday has lasted for about 3 days now. Friday at school I took in cupcakes, Saturday was his "real" birthday as he called it, and Sunday was the family party with home made pizza's and birthday cake. Saturday just the Ceci's and cousin Aron went to Chuckie Cheese and had a great time playing the games, eating pizza, and winning lots of tickets. This place isn't just for kids, I love going I feel like a kid again when I'm there playing also. I get so wrapped up in trying to win the big jackpot of tickets Nick has to tell me to stop and walk away! Well it was time to go cash in our tickets, the big winner for the day was Aron, he won 200 tickets and gave them to Breckin for his birthday. We had 4465 tickets! We let Breckin pick out what ever he wanted, and of course he picked the remote controlled air plane that was 4000 tickets. You should have seen the look on his face when he got that plane.

I forgot I had tried to take some pictures of Keaton at his DARE program graduation, I really do need a new camera. I really enjoyed Keaton coming home and telling me about what he had learned from the DARE program. He really liked learning about drugs and all the effects it has on your body. I pray he remembers that when he gets older. the pictures are of Keaton and his best buddy Jack, Brooke his cousin they are in the same class, Keaton and his 5th grade teacher Mrs.Watton, who looks like she is still in middle school.

Okay Tiffany this one is for you. I'm not a crafty person who can think cute things up to make, but I can steal your ideas! As I lurk on people's blogs which I love to do I find cute ideas that I just have to make. I went to WalMart bought some $3.00 dollar frames, then went to the fabric department got cute ribbon and then over to the buttons and picked out buttons that matched. Made a bow, hot glued ribbon and button on and presto you have a cute inexpensive gift.

Today is my Birthday, yippee!! I got to sleep in, then Keaton and McKenna made me breakfast, pancakes yummy and then off to McKenna's piano rehersal, then shopping!! I got from my sweet children a much needed pedicure and money for a new book. My dear friend Kasey surprised me with a package, cute wooden blocks that say "We Still Believe" from this cute store in Utah. My sister in law brought me a cookbook which I love to read. My day just keeps getting better, Leann brought me over fresh baked bread and note cards. My parents called this morning to sing Happy Birthday, wow don't try out for the Tabernacle Choir, but it was the thought that counts. My day has been great! Thanks to all who made it awesome. Just when you think your birthday is coming to an end you hear the door bell ring and there is a friend standing with a dozen lime long stem roses, you thnik lime? Oh they are so beautiful! Sunday at church Deloris gives me a gift, wow the gifts just keep on coming. It's not about the gifts that I enjoy, it's knowing I have dear friends.

This Thanksgiving we ate at my parents house. Nicks sister Monique, and kids came along with his dad, my sisters Shay and family, Cynthia and family were all there. the food was yummy as always, Cynthia didn't bring the mashed potatoes and sweet potato casserole until after we all ate, which was an hour later. Then I took the kids to the movies to see Eagle Eye, then back to moms house for more food and games. Not a lot of pictures, my camera died.

High School Musical 2 November 2008

Last night McKenna, Keaton and I went to The Fabulous Fox Theatre to see High School Musical 2. We always go to The Varsity for dinner and then off to the theatre. The actors had amazing voices, but the play was a little slow. It was still a good show. We waited afterwards like always for McKenna to get autographs and pictures taken. A friend,Ben Papac from FCFT was in the show, he was and underclassmen teen ensemble. McKenna is staring as Loazi, Ancestor of Honor in FCFT's play Mulan, Jr.(this is a musical) McKenna plays the head ancestor, so she and the other 4 ancestors are on stage the whole time. The play is awesome, I can say because, McKenna does a wonderful job as Loazi. Ok I'm bragging about her, but don't you like seeing your child shine? I love watching her, I think I'm her biggest fan. Every year we order pizza and have my sister Shay and her family over for dinner and then off to trick or treating! This year my mom was out of town so my dad actually wanted to go with us. We started at about 6:30pm after all the pictures. Breckin went as Darth Vader again, McKenna went as a rapper? I guess. Keaton didn't dress up. He wanted to wear an Obama mask, to make fun of him, no way was I going to waste my money on Obama crap. We had a good night, lots of candy, and then ended the night with a haunted house golf cart ride. What a good night it was. Oh I forgot a house by us always out do everyone and Breckin makes sure I always take his picture infront of their house. (If you notice a little guy dressed as half Darth Vader and half creepy thing, that would be Breckin. He said his mask was too hot so he put his cousin Aron's mask on. Everytime I looked at him he made me laugh.

We waited too long to get pumpkins this year, we went to the fire department to support them and all they had were sad little pumpkins. But look how cute they turned out. McKenna carved triangles, Breckin carved his all by himself (Don't let Nick know he used a knife), and Keaton carved the Braves.

The elementary school puts on a Fall Festival every year, so while I'm working a booth the kids are off having fun. This year I only saw Keaton one time going down the big slide, the rest of the time he was trying to win a cake at the Cake Walk. He spent $10.00 trying to win and never did win. As we were driving home, his friend called him and told him he just won a cake. It was the first time his friend tried the Cake Walk game. Keaton was so mad.

JC Booth Middle School Sings at the Braves Game

Last Night, September 5th JC Booth Middle School got to sing the National Anthem at the Braves game against the Nationals. I wasn't able to go so Nick drove home all night Thursday night from Daytona Beach just to hear McKenna sing. What an awesome dad!! I tried to explain to him over the phone how to take pictures of her, well see for yourself how he did.

Mckenna, Brooke and I went to the Rick Springfield concert. I had won tickets, so I thought it would be fun to take the girls. He was so good, and wow nice looking too. Still had nice hair and a body!! We had really good seats, but you wouldn't be able to tell cause my camera was acting up. Rick was walking on tables and talking to the crowd. He sang all his old stuff and also music from his new cd which was really good. He still had women screaming over him, and throwing their phone numbers up to him.

We just got back from our last ya-hoo for the summer! We went to Dollywood, Tn with my sister Shay and her kids. The weather was oh so hot, but it did rain the two days at dinner time when we were there, which cooled us off. It was ok cause everyone was ready to go eat dinner and swim at the hotel. School starts in just two weeks, YEAH!!!!!

Every year our city does a wonderful 4th of July parade and then at night fireworks. This year Grandpa Bill Ceci and cousin Aron were here with us along with Aunt Shay and kids. It was very hot out, but so much fun. The kids love to grab all the candy and eat breakfast on the side of the road. We get to our spot about 7am in the morning for breakfast and then wait till 9am for the parade to start. It lasts about 2 hours.

We always have a bbq at our house for dinner and then we let off our own fireworks and off to the real fireworks. All we have to do is walk down the street to see the fireworks, cause we live so close to city hall.

Destin, Florida trip June 2008

All my sisters and their families went down to Destin for our week in the sun. We share a house that sleeps 30 people. Nick took all the boys and dads deep sea fishing. They cought red snapper, we got to eat it also, it was yummy. We had the best week, the weather was awesome, the beach was beautiful, minus the gross jelly fish, and everyone got along great.

Breckin had his last day of pre-school today, it was a bitter sweet day. He had two awesome teachers, Mrs. Walker and Mrs. Foster. McKenna had a Chorus Concert on April 29, 2008. She is in the middle looking away. They sang a wonderful arrangement of songs from Al Shlosha D'Varim by Naplan to a Disney Dazzle Medley. We always love to hear her sing.

Keaton had his 1 mile marathon run this morning at school. He finished! As we were cheering for him to pick up the pace, he was getting passed up by little kids. He was suppose to track his running for a month and then when the final day came it would add up to a marathon. I don't think he trained very good, cause when he finished he thought he was going to die! But we are very proud of him. WAY TO GO KEATON!!!

Spring Break 2008 was in Dollywood, Tn. We went with my two sisters Shay and Cynthia and their families. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect. The kids love when Nick comes because he loves to play the games at the fair. All the kids seem to go home with some sort of cheap looking toy that just can't ever be thrown away. It is always sad when the vacation is over and we have to go home. But we always stop off at Mayfield Dairy for some good ol' icecream.

Breckin finally gets to play T-ball, and he is so excited! He loves to play in the outfield, I have to remind him to pay attention though. He likes to blow me kisses when he is in the outfield(I think it's so sweet) but, for his coach, that's another story. Go Thunder!

Breckin had his Easter party at Pre-school Friday. They had an Easter egg hunt, which he is a crazy guy when it comes to egg hunts. Then they had a relay with eggs. He was wining until he got right to the finish line. Oh darn!

McKenna is in "A Company of Friends" Professional division of Fayette-Cowetta Family Theater. She was asked to play Dori in School House Rock Live! FCFT took this play to several schools and also performed for the public for well over 4000 children. What an amazing group of kids! Hearing all the songs , I couldn't help but sing out.

Nick, Keaton, Grandpa Kratchen, Ron and his boys and Jeff and Alex went to Vegas for the BYU bowl. They had a blast. They stayed at the Wynn. Beautiful place!

We had an awesome Christmas! McKenna 12 1/2 yrs old got what she wanted- clothes and Vera Beradley purses and bags, Keaton 9 1/2 yrs old is always playing his Wii and Guitar Hero, he wont let me play it. The music is awesome, it's from the 80's and it's funny how the kids like it now. Breckin 5 yrs old finally got a PS2 game system of his own and a V-smile system.
Nick and Keaton and his cousins and their dads went to Vegas for the weekend to watch UCLA play BYU, of course Keaton and Nick where routing for UCLA. Oh what a close game, sorry UCLA! I'm just trying to not go crazy with having to intertain the kids while school is out or hear "I'm board."
